thanks for posting. Waiting impatiently for the new Corvette to arrive. I'm curious to see how much different it is to the current one, especially what the final engines will be.

I'd like to see a styling home run from the Corvette team, and the early glimpses of this car look too much like a C6.5, which was itself more of a C5.5. I know it's an icon, but why not push things forward a little? |

Looks like very much of the same but i'd be interested to see what GM has up its sleeves.
I'd still like to see a NA V8 Z06 for the track junkies.

The C6 panel is light weight, one piece, doesnt leak, easy to remove and install and locks into the rear compartment easy as pie. I love it. Personally, I dont think it detracts from the cars visual appeal. I also like them not making radical changes as they did from C3 to C4. Porsche changes the 911 slowly through evolution not revolution, I like that. I happen to think the C6 is a beautifully styled car(Im biased) so I dont want it to change radically. To each his own. |

I agree with that, I certainly think the C6 is the best of the C4-C6 designs. I'm just secretly hoping for something new. The 911 is an oddball, with the engine in the wrong place, so they're sorta stuck with that design. The Corvette is a pretty standard format, so they have more room for styling changes each time. But whatever, it will still be a performance bargain, be a beast on any track and sell like crazy. Impossible to argue with that.

An upgraded interior should be a major priority. The current Z06 looks great. I wouldn't mind just a minor exterior refresh, with a big upgrade inside. Hell, charge another $10k for the car and put in some high quality materials.

Same goes for the interiors. I've driven in Lotus(and others) whos interiors are much cheaper, uncomfortable and lesser quality than the Corvette. Americas sport car is the one that take the abuse. Some European sports cars snobs will always find fault with the car. I say, spruce up the interior a little bit(not 10K) worth and keep the cost down some. The interior doesnt need that much improvement. Put the majority of the money to shaving seconds off lap times IMO. |

+1 they don't need to add tech gadgets, that's not the purpose of a corvette, but for gots sake change the design and materials of the inside.
