not feeling it bro. The rear of the car is too low - the rear tires have sunk into the wheel well.

Lol..havent you noticed that all BMWs sag in the back?

As for the car, i like the wheels but not on an e93. Then again, it could be the pics not doing the car any justice
Car looks good though.

I do appreciate your opinion, certainly not the look everyone would like.

Certainly didn't expect it'll come down that much considering I went with H&R Sport Springs vs Sport Plus or Racing and my car doesn't have sport package. But was very happy when I saw how much it slammed and the ride even on 19" tires was still very comfy and smooth for daily commute was expecting to be rougher closer to 335's with sports package that I was afraid of.

Thank you, can't win complements on everything but it's all .

Not yet, having light interior helps and with top down/windows up I feel they're not dark enough . I wouldn't recommend 15% tint on cars with dark interior.... 25%-30% IMO is a better match.

LOL rebel in heart ... If I'm not mistaken some US states don't require front license plate and province of Quebec in Canada.

BTW like this B&W pic and RIMs on E90

I've been debating it. The OEM brakes are solid and stops the car on the dime if needs to be. The car is just 4 months old so for the first 80K kms BMW warranty covers and will replace them. I expect I'll do at least one full break job rotars/pads and will save myself few $$$. Also with aftermarket BBK it can be hit and miss clearing RIMs with certain offset and can require spacers which then can lead to rolling fendors, so I'm kind of in predicimant.

Thumbs up

Got my SmartTop STE93 v1.3x module today .... Could not wait until Saturday and it was a light day in the office with US holiday. So I got one of my guys at the office who's electrical whiz to help me out to install it. It took us over an hour. Getting the rear sit out of the way as per instructions probably took the longest, specially removing left side cushion with out breaking clips.... At the end we had it done, tested it and put the back sit together. If you're planning to install it yourself TEST IT before putting rear sit back in place. We did run into minor problem that required to re-check all wire connections. Would of been a bitch if we put the sit back in and had to go through disassembling again.

IMO this is a great mode for anyone who drives BMW 1,3 or 6 Convertable series, even with Comfort Access that I have as an option. The additional features it adds to:
  • Remote Control
  • One-Touch for the soft-top switch
  • All-Windows-Switch
  • Maximum allowed speed for roof operation. Since I got caught few times holding traffic with light turning green while openning or closing the roof.
  • Folding mirrors -E88 and E93 only
  • Automatic door unlocking
http://www.wit-usa.com/sms/db/smartt...general/en.php are great !!!

are worth it and dissapoints me that BMW don't have it netavile and you have to purchase after market solution.

Another suggestion I have is to connect USB cable to the USB SmartTop interface and make cable easily accessiable for future firmware upgrades, to avoid rear sit dismentaling in the future which as I said was a bitch

One minor issue so far that I came across is with folding mirrors. When I used setting: Folding mirrors AUTO+KEYLESS it would get my mirrors most of the time out of synch and internal folding/unfolding button would stop working. Which is I hope addressed in the new firmware V1.33, which supposedly fixes issues with folding mirrors and adds roof switch reverse setting. Preconnected USB cable certainly should simplify firmware update process
