My 330d - what do you think its worth as a private sale?
Hi all
Be interested to see what opinion is on realistic selling prices at the moment - I'm a little out of touch. I'll be putting my autotrader ad together over the weekend] 330d Msport Saloon Auto, [Efficient dynamics model] 2008/57 52k miles, Silver, black leather,FBMWSH, 11 months MOT, Tax to May, I'm 3rd owner. Options include Prof Nav, Bluetooth, HFS & Privacy Glass. Wheels need a refurb, currently on decent winter tyres with a spare set of Falkens with 2-3mm on. Thoughts welcome [and yes, this is the car I bought from TMP when my 335i got written off last year so it is of good stock and provenance!] Paul |

OK, so I guess no one can be arsed or interested which is fair enough. Been offered a straight £12k as a p/x and think i'll be taking it. [and this is subsequent to me screwing a dealer on a new but used car for a price i'm happy with - so i dont belive the £12k is inflated they have no reason to]

I would have said 12-13k, and 12k sounds good as a PX figure IMHO. Your car has the important 6 cylinder car options ie auto, leather and nav.
Some jokers at Bowker Preston told me recently that my car (2010 individual, every option possible except folding mirrors, dab and tv) books at 14.5k (!) and that was against a not-exactly-easy-to-shift 550i at £40k

12k seems about right, I got just over 13k for my 58 plate 330d with 48k miles a month ago on a trade in.
I got a few prices in different dealers and they were all around that figure. Have you tried WBAC & WWYC ? |

Try getting a quote from webuyanycar etc, that will give you a starter for ten.
The other thing is if they offer the same for a cash sale you then have cash in hand to try to negotiate a discount with the dealer.

Dealers don't want cash. They want you to take finance. Take finance, negotiate price down, pay massive lump of finance off with cash before first payment goes through.

Cheers Guys. Dealer tickled their offer up by £250 to £12250 so deal done. May have got a tad more privately but that means inconvenience, time and a little risk. First time I have part ex'd a car in over a decade.
