have somebody the Dinan camber plates mounted on his E9x? Are they good?

The Dinan camber plates cost $199 and add 0.7 degrees negative camber. They use the stock rubber bushings, which are soft and quiet. All other camber plates I've seen replace the stock bushings with solid metal, which is firm and noisy. Based on this, some people recommend Dinan for street and other camber plates for track.

I think it's worth pointing out that the M3 Front Lower Wishbone Kit costs 195.73 at HP Autowerks. It adds 0.75 degrees negative camber and includes stiffer bushings than the stock wishbones, which adds some front end firmness without noise.

Anyone feel free to add or correct if my apples to oranges comparison is over-simplifying anything.

If you're only going to the track a little or not at all I would definitely do the Dinan plates but add the M3 wishbones. Increase your camber to over -1, keep your car quiet, improve handling quite a bit and if you ever wanted to you could probably fit 245s on the front.

There's a thread in here where I wrote about them. Search for my name and Dinan or PSS10s, it's in the same thread.

Basically, I wanted them because they are a no noise option, and I was OK with them only adding a bit of camber. I'm at -1.4* with the plates and lowered 1" up front. With M3 arms I would be over -2*, which is the grand plan. But I will just wait until the bushings are worn in the stock arms before putting in the M3 ones.

The Dinan plates work great but the only drawback is that they raise the ridehight slightly because it's placed between the top of the shock and shock mount. Not sure what the effect on handling is though.

With the Dinan camber plates, do they add an extra -0.7 degrees of camber (factory camber is -0.3, correct?), making the actual camber -1 degree, or do they take the factory camber to -0.7 degrees?

They add an extra -0.7° of camber. M3 wishbones are great too, they add about -0.75°.

I am currently at -1.5° with just M3 wishbones and the strut top mount "alignment pin" removed.

Thanks for clearing that up. Is there a DIY for removing the alignment pin (I searched, but can't find it)?
