Tire Size help for a 19x8 and 19x10 setup - what are you running?

I have 19x8s and 19x10s coming and need to buy tires ASAP. Stock setup on the car is 18x8 (225s) and 19x9 (255s). The look is fine.

Should I go with 235s on the 8 inch rim, and 285s on the 10 inch rim? I am not a big fan of the stretched look, but I do worry about the diameter of the 285s being .75 larger than stock. I just received H&R Sport Springs from Trendix - BTW, Steve from Trendix had them at my door in no time.

I asked for my Iforged rims to not be made flush to the fender and to have them sit inside 6mm.

What do you all think of the sizes, any changes recommended?

I am running 245/35 fronts on my 19x8.5's and 275/30 rears on my 19x10's and am I lowered on H&R Race springs. I only rub in the front going up driveways too fast without taking a deep enough angle on it. But more importantly, I DO NOT RUB in the rear. I thought about using a 285 rear tire, and I might be able to, but I wanted to be more safe than sorry. With using only the H&R sport springs, you can probably get away with a 285 rear, however, when I say that, it will all depend on the offset you asked for on your rear wheel. What offset did you ask for? I see that you want your rim to sit nearly flushed with the fender, hence getting a 10 over a 9.5 rear, however, in doing so, that will slightly affect your tire size use, especially taking into account that you are lowering the car.

Take a look at a picture of my wheels on my car, and you will see how my 275 tire sits on a 10. In my opinion, a 285 might have been too wide of a tire. In any case, just dont rub up against any curbs and you wont damage your rims!

Most long time BMW owners I have spoken with have said that 30MM should be maintained when staggering these cars. Anything greater will likely produce even more understeer than normal during hard driving. The stock stagger for the sports package E90, the M3 all are 30MM. I would go either 235/35 and 265/30 or 245/35 and 275/30.

Thanks for the feedback. I asked for the rims to sit just inside the fender 1/4 inch or 6 mm. I was worried that 235s would look funny on an 8inch rim (no stretch) and with 275s on the 10 inch rim (too much stretch)

I have 235's on my 19X8's and they look fine. I can't speak to 275's on 10's though.
