Smile UHP All Season Tire Choice

I am trying to narrow my tire choices and have gotten down to Kumho ECSTA ASX, Yokohama ADVAN S4, Avon Tech M550 A/S and Pirelli Pzero Nero M&S. Would like to stick with stock 18" staggered sizes. Any real world experience with these tires. I will do very little traveling in snow but may occasionally get caught with some on the road. My top priorities area quiet and steady ride, treadlife is secondary, and is high speed handling. Thanks.

Pirelli's are great. I had them on my 162's, and I would suggest them to anyone...

What tires are being installed on the most recent shipments of 335i coupes and sedans with sport packages? Is it true that BMW has switched brands to resolve some of the complaints about ride, noise, treadware, etc?

Proxes 4

I agree these are great A/S tires as I am running them on my MINI Cooper. I don't think they make the OEM size combo in 18" so I might run 235s all around with 8.5 wheels. Thanks.

Michelin ps2 is my choice. Sticks to the road ,very quiet and the ride is smooth. Use the M mobility kit as the back-up.

Michelin doesn't make runflats, they have their own competing technology but it requires special wheels.

Dunlop, Bridgestone, Pirelli and Continental all make runflats of various types. Not sure about performance tires, roads aren't good enough here to use them that much.

Only partly correct...

The other technology you're speaking of are PAX tires (on the Honda Oddysee Touring model) which do indeed require different wheels, but Michelin also sells 'conventional' runflats as well such as the Pilot Sport A/S runflat for the C5 corvette. None that fit the E90/E92 though..
