Best match for BMW Performance Suspension.....

I purchased the old performance suspension that was on sale at Tischer BMW a couple of months ago and currently plan on another suspension upgrade.

Since i can only get one, which would compliment the performance suspension the most

A. New springs (currently have stock ZSP springs that came with the sports package)

B. M3 Front Control Arm/Tension Strut Retrofit Set

C. Upgraded front and rear sway bars.

Car is a '07 335i with sports supsension.

Thanks for any and all feedback!!

What are you looking to get out of your set-up?

The Performance Dampers should pair up well with your ZSP springs. If you want a slightly lower/more agressive stance then the Eibach Pro Kits springs would be the ideal choice. Otherwise if you are happy with your spring/shock combo, add front and rear sway bars.

Better handling overall obviously, handle turns better and get more of a "road feel" from the steering wheel.....

Too bad I only have enough money for one more mod...

I'd go with B, I have a set sitting in my garage ready to be installed. I already have the performance suspension with ZSP springs and a front sway bar.

You do know that the rear sway bar is not a cheap/easy install, right?

What do you mean by not cheap for the rear sway?

if it's not direct bolt on, then I wont bother.

It is a "direct bolt on" but you have to lower the rear subframe of the car before you can bolt it on.

wow, had the same question.
so front control bars are the clear winner here, how much does it impact?

Definately as long as you're not driving on rft's.
Improved turn in, steering and braking feel. Added neg camber reduces understeer

Great question op, although for me, I already did A and am now on to B or C. I've been told repeatedly that the front control arms replacement is a must when you start modifying your suspension, while the sway bars are more of a preference mod. The mileage on your car might also play a factor, such as at higher mileage (close to 100k), it's a no brainer that control arms are the logical next step for you. So, to answer your question, I would go (in order):

B - A - C.

And a PITA to R&R after dropping the subframe.

If you're gonna do that, you'll greatly benefit from replacing rear subframe bushings w/M3 bushings which can only be done w/dropped subframe.

You're smart to get HP Autowerks' M3 control arm retrofit, all arms w/rear subframe bushings, front camber plates; front & rear sways. Massive diff; no lean. Joy!

OP, LSD?

Yeah the rear is suppose to take a while. I am going to do mine while I am taking out the diff to install my Wavetrac.

OP just save up and get an LSD or wait till you can do all the rear mods at the same time specially if you are going to pay someone to do it so you're not droppinig the subframe multiple times
