E90 Sedan LCI vs C-Class Facelift - Photo Comparison

COMMENTS
Mercedes-Benz released the first details and pictures of the facelifted C-Class yesterday. As always, it's a fun exercise to compare direct competitors, so let's see how the new facelifted C class fares against the E90 LCI which was presented back in 2008.

If you're now concerned if the current 3-series can stand up for this tough competition for another year, here's hope: http://www.bimmerpost.com/3-series/f30/

so MB has 6MT as an option? It's been how long since they've offered manual transmission in their cars? Nice comparison photos, thanks for sharing!

It might have been better to compare the E90 and MB C-Class in the same color. The C-Class looks slightly more elegant with the dark color exterior.

The c300 has always been offered with a manual in canada. Mind you in that pic it's a euro c250 cdi.

When I look at those 2 cars I say to myself: Why would you drive that? Just to say that you drive a Benz or a Bmw? Honestly at that point I'd drive a mazda 3 with leather, an accord or passat. The 2 entry level with ballon tires, ugly wheels etc are not my cup of tea.

The new C has a pretty nice interior compared to the old one. However, I think the old exterior styling is x1000 better than the updated one. The older one was more aggressive and "fatter" than this, and arguably had the same elegance.

MB was definitely offering a manual as far back back as 2005 on the C-CLass. I should know because I always regretted not getting it on my car.

I never liked the "furniture-look" of the Bangle-era BMW, including my own M3, but the Mercedes interiors of the C- and the E-Class are simply a disaster at all levels.

I like the new facelifted C-Class over the LCI E90. It looks really good as a standard model, I can't wait to see the AMG bodykit for it.

But, what kills it for me is that the C350's engine (albeit retuned) is still nowhere close to the 335i's engine.

The C250 ain't bad, I would rather have that than a 328i any day.

haha yeah they are terrible is design and they are placed randomly! However, in real life they dont stand out so badly for some reason. Anyway, for me:

E90: Good in Msport but design doesnt age as well as the E46 Msport. I'm not a fan of the low front and very high bulky rear end. Interior is also a bit plain.

C-class: Very nice, like the facelift. Without the chrome trim and the LEDs would be a lot better. Interior is really nice better than E90 for me. Needs sport trim, hate the old style grille.

Overall: C-class for me, but I'm sure the new F30 will change things.
