Finally got BT scan to work=) Ran a short test and got these:
I got it to work=). I just had to remove, reinstall the be device driver again. I ran a short test and got these codes:
2FBF: 2FBF Fuel pressure at injection release Error will not cause a warning light Error is not currently present Test conditions have been completed Short circuit or signal interruption A10A: EWS4 timing challenge/response error Error will not cause a warning light Error is not currently present Test conditions have been completed Signal or value below threshold A3C3: RDC failure, network management Error will not cause a warning light Error is not currently present Test conditions have been completed E18C: Device didn't accept or confirm monitoring message (Error_Monitoring) Error will not cause a warning light Error is not currently present Test conditions have been completed E18D: Wake Up Device tried to wake up network 3-times without success (Error_WakeUp_Failed) Error will not cause a warning light Error is not currently present Test conditions have been completed Fresh air/circulating air/dynamic pressure flap (LIN) Error will not cause a warning light Error is currently present Test conditions have been completed Signal or value below threshold What do these codes mean? I know the first one is HPFP related but the car runs fine. I did have about 2 times long crank events on a morning. Should I be concerned? Should I erase the codes? Should I bring it in the dealer? Prior to getting the cable and running the scan. I was running Map5 on JB3 w/ just DCI and golf tee mod. After the scan, since I have the tool now, I switched to Map7 for a more responsive and quicker spool. I daily drive the car to work which is only 10 miles away and I don't ever race the car but I do drive it spiritedly everytime. I should be ok running Map7 right? Or do you guys think its too aggressive and should switch it down to Map3 or back to Map5? Thanks for any advice guys. Last edited by itsjappo; 02-11-2010 at 11:28 PM.. |

Time for new fuel pump.....perhaps soon. Any long cranks? Ahh, re-read your post.
Remove tune drive like crazy and take it in to the dealer when you throw another 2FBF. Map 7 will def tax you pump if it is failing as it runs richer than Map5, I believe.

these cars sometime have instantaneous errors not necessarily meaning anything is bad. Clear the errors and drive the car for a week and retest.
I usually check mine on a weekly basis. |

you cant run map 7 with your mods. Max map 5 if you are on 93 octane.
There is a very good guide about which map you should run depending on mods and octane, use it.

anytime the car cranks thats typically not normal it seems to throw the 2FBF code...I also had this code.....I would erase it and see if any of the codes come back, while I am sure alot of people will jump the gun and say fuel pump and don't erase it and bring it to the dealership

Your not supposed to be running Map7 with your mods. Switch to 5 like others said and you'll start getting less errors.
Map7 is for more serious cars, you'll need a full exhaust system with DPs. Quote:
Reading the instructions will save you alot of hassle and problems. |
