Ok - my 325xit is finally in production this week (Ordered on Oct. 21st). Any Idea how I can track what stage the vehicle is in? BMWNA said they do not have access to the to the 3 digit codes anymore. All I know now is that is is sceduled to be completed 12/28

Thanks -- Also I was told tha Munich runs a 24/hr shift and is only shut down on Christmas -- any insights?

Takes about 1-1.5 month for delivery after production is done.

You can call the 800-831-1117 number and enter your production # to check the production status. It's a voice-operated system. They don't provide the 3-digit code, just the status (ie: Paint shop)

the 800# and OC were way off on my car. i would say over a week off from other members. i say check with your dealer if u want the most accurate status.

My dealer told me that Munich shuts down for 3 days over the holidays - not sure which 3 days though. My car is in production now though and is scheduled to complete production on 12/27 and it's being built in Munich.

my OC status was pretty much right on, especially once it got to the US. The 800 number was more accurate during production/shipping to the port

800 number had it in the paint shop yesterday and finished today! Now it's "waiting for transit" Any idea how to tell if it is already scheduled for a ship? How long it the transit time from Munich to the Port? 325ixt electric red, terra, loaded

I don't know about the 24hr shift but I was told that the Munich plant was closed from the 17th to the 7th of Jan. That's what my dealer told me and that I can't pick up my car until the paper work is sent from Munich. I was also told that they closed down for 3wks in Nov. This is what a dealer told me. If your car is done you should have it soon.

I hope so but, I was told by two diffrent dealers in Germany that they was closed till the 8th. If not maybe I'll get my car soon. Good luck and I hope the dealers over here are wrong. It would make sense because of the amount of people ordering BMWs.

My car finished production yesterday but my Maryland dealer told me that Munich only shuts down for 24th, 25th, 26th so it shouldn't be a problem.

I though I was the only one that had been waiting FOREVER on the xiT - Ordered Nov 10 - went into production few days ago on the on the 22nd (was scheduled as a week 52 build). Just called the 800 number and they have a scheduled completion of Jan 5th. Based on what I have seen from others here on time in production, that tells me the factory is definitley taking more than a couple days off for the holidays.....

Mine was scheduled for week 52 as well with a schedule completion date of the 28th - Production for it stated on the 19th and was finished on the 22nd Four days.

I ordered my E91 xiT on Dec. 16th. I also have a completion date of 1/5. Looks like we could be on the same boat coming over zach.

Maybe we'll be on the same boat if you are taking regular delivery. My car also finished production to 22nd. As of this morning, it was on the way to the port.

My status yesterday was in the "paint shop" with completion on the 5th, and now it says "on the way to port of exit". 1 day ahead of schedule.
Anyone else's car that was supposed to be completed on the 5th finish early?
I hope it gets on the ship " Courage" instead of "ATLANTIC CONVEYOR" since courage makes the trip 4 days faster
I'm also hoping that the factory holiday shut down will work to my advantage and there's not too many cars in front of mine, both on the export and import sides.

The factory was not shut down except for 2-3 days. My car went into PROD on 12/19 and finished on 12/22... I was loaded on the Jingu Maru 12/30 and it left Bremerhaven on 1/2 - it's due to dock in NY on 1/13... so I'm hoping to have my car one week after that.

One thing that drove me crazy was that I waited at the port from 12/26 until 1/2 - 3 other ships for NY left before I finally got on one... looks like even during the holidays there was a backlog.
