How is the ride on 19's??? From 18 to 19...

For those 335i's that have swapped from 18's to 19's, how much is ride quality affected? is it that big a difference on the sport suspension??? Does it pummel the kidneys??

I'm running my 19" tires and wheels at 40 psi F/R. The ride is SLIGHTLY more stiff but in no way jarring. The stock ride on my 04 S4 with 18" tires was much more harsh than this. Other have recommended running a lower tire pressure which I am sure will make the ride even more compliant. I would not shy away from the 19" set up over fear of a harsh ride. BTW, the ride in my S4 was so annoying that I ran the tires ant a lower inflation pressure than was recommended just to soften the ride. Wore the crappy Conti tires out quicker as well. Then I bought a tire that I wanted that had a better ride at a higher air pressure

Varies a lot, based on many things.

For me, nothing that bothers me, although you can tell a bit.

Same case I did last week. It depends on are u using RFT on 18 and go to non-RFT for 19. I am using sport suspension also and I can tell you it's only slightly difference and for sure, riding quality will be improved and not much sacrifice in and comfort. Even there is a noticeable comfort in my opinion

I have the sportsuspension and went from 17" Potenza runflats (staggered) to 19" Falken 452 non runflat (staggered) and I find the ride so much more comfortable. It feels like the car has a firmer grip on the road.

I went from 18" sport package wheels with runflats to 19" General Exclaims, and the 19's were MUCH more comfortable and compliant than the 18" stock runflats. I've now gone back to 17" and 18" wheels for racing applications .
