i called BMW last night and the service rep told me he couldn't track the car past when it left the factor....ok thanks for the effort. lol.

I definately trust the shipping site more than anything i have seen from BMW. Also the fact that NJANDY already has his car points to the cars getting dropped off at the VPN on the 11th. Also someone on the M3 boards got a call today that there car was at the dealer. (also in NJ).

Goody, that's kinda what I was thinking. The fact that BMW seems sort of clueless about all of this leads me to trust the shipping site. Still, it's getting old.

Did you do ED, too? My dealer told me that sometimes it takes longer for ED cars to get through customs than regular new cars. But I sorta think she was making that up ...

I actually picked up my car in transit. the day i put down my deposit was the day the elektra turned around. You can definately blame me for that one. lol.

I dont know for sure about Customs, but i can see the logic in it. My car has only been accessed by factory and shipping employees, while you where driving your car around and could have stashed something. (Side trip to Amsterdam perhaps? lol)

Oh and ill add that just by using the internet, i always knew more than anyone from BMW.

Yeah, the downside of the European Delivery is that I already got to drive my car 135 mph outside of Paris. And now I'm carpooling with my wife in the Prius, waiting for it to arrive.

I think it's making the wait even more excruciating, since it's been seven weeks since I drove the coolest car I've ever bought.

Still "in transit" according to the OC, and the 800 number says the same thing.

Just called the European Delivery Hotline, and they said my car is still chillin' out at customs.

Today is one week from when the boat arrived (unless I believe BMW, who said it arrived on April 14).

i think it is a day or two delayed, but who knows: it told me my car was at the dealer on Friday and no one there seems to know where it is. Very frustrating

Well, the Euro Delivery hotline says it arrived at the VPC on Friday with a work order. They don't know what it is, however, and don't know when it will be done. Seven weeks on Wednesday ...

I finially got my car last night.

When i got out of the dealer last night it was pouring rain, dark, and rush hour, but still put 60 miles on it lol. Im so excited to drive to work today, im couldnt sleep.

Yeah, keeping it slow hurts lol. Im actually driving up to NJ so see the family this weekend. Im really looking forward to it, but man its gonna be hard...especially on the back roads heading S. form I95.

It must have had some damage on the trip over that needs to be repaired

I think damage during shipping is common. I know that doesnt help ease the pain, but look at this way...The VPC is prepared for it!!

I also remember reading that if that damage is more than minor cosmetic, they have to report it you with full written disclosure.

Seven weeks to the day, the car has been released to the trucking company. ED Hotline says they have 48 to pick it up, and to expect it in Milwaukee by Tuesday.

Sounds a little long, but at least the end is near ...

(Can ya really track the truck? I'd be surprised if they allow that.)

I had a hard time tracking mine once it left the ship. Nothing seemed to be up to date.

Make sure your dealer is ready and has the people needed to prep it. I'm pretty sure mine was at the dealer from Thurs - Monday before i was able to get it.

The last week is the worst...but man the first week you have it awesome!!
