How do you replace Coolant Temperature Sensor?

I'm throwing a 12003 error code, Coolant Temperature Sensor. Anyone know how to replace this sensor? I can't seem to find it. Pictures would be nice
Thanks!

You definitely want to let the dealership do that. It should be covered under warranty.

Thought it might be an easy fix and avoid the dealer. Ok, Thanks Shiv.

It looks real easy in the Bentley manual. Grab one off amazon. Page 130-64. Literally looks like a 5 minute job.

I checked some on-line videos and it appears the coolant must be drained first. Not sure if that is the procedure for the 335.

Nope. You just have to let the motor cool down all the way. A little coolant may come out.

You remove a fastener and a coolant line. You should have a little container under to catch any coolant that may come out.

Then you disconnect the electrical connector to the sensor and unscrew the sensor. A little coolant may come out here as well.

The sensor is on the front of the cylinder head.

When you are done you clear the codes.

I suggest ordering the bentley manual for pictures, torque specs, and remaining full details.

Well worth the $82 on Amazon.

Thanks Scott. I'm thinking a trip to the dealer may be worth it at this point, since the car is still under warranty and I don't really want to mess with spilled coolant...

Which coolant line needs to be removed? I replaced the sensor by itself and that did no good.
