What's the point of a "feeler?" Either it's for sale or it isn't.

Raising the price by 10k after listing, not posting pictures, and calling your audience morons is not a great way to sell a car.

Ah yes, the old “I’ve invested xxxxx amount modding my car, therefore it is worth double asking price” post

Also, I'm really interested in knowing how much YOU think my car is worth. Based on your posts, it doesn't look like you've done the ST conversion or know what the true cost of it is. I could be wrong. But really, how much do YOU personally think my car is worth.
Your car is worth nothing on this board. Nobody in their right mind would work with you.

If a seller really thinks that every SGM 335 looks the same, that's an instant no for me and I'd imagine 80% of the buyers on here. I've been in the market for an e90 several times (and bought one each time I was) and if I saw someone calling their viewers morons, refusing to post pics, and generally being an ass hat I assure you I would move on and find someone worth doing business with.

I'm not looking for just anyone to buy the car. If that were the case, I'd list for $10k and I'd prob have a buyer within a day. As anyone that has done their first build, it's more of a personal thing than just money. Which is why I know that my target audience is that .1% and more than likely, the car will not sell because of that. I know that because I see what's out there. I see the conditions of these cars, nowadays. I know that the right buyer will be a 1 in a million and I'm totally OK with that. What I don't appreciate is everyone shit posting their non-sense on my thread. That's why I have fun with the replies. I don't need anyone's 2 cents on how to sell my car. Because if I REALLY wanted it gone, it'd be gone already. Again, that mere .1% audience that doesn't shit post and actually are interested would PM me with their name and number as I asked and not paid attention to the shit posting. I guarantee you that EVERYONE (with the exception of the first reply) is NOT interested, but more of the every day 2 cents'ers. Prove me wrong.
One in a million huh.. I think you rate your car too high. But to answer your early question 100% yes a pic would make or break it for me. And the reason for that is, sometime you can look at a pic of a car and just have a guy feeling you really want it. There is something about it that makes you want it even tho it may look like every other e90 in the world. I might be alone in that feeling but it’s how I have always bought my cars. Seen a pic a either got a gut feeling it was for me or it was a meh feeling and I left it alone

You can get one for like what, $6k, slap on a chinese turbo, and you're good to go. I see a lot of those. Most of these builds are done somewhere that people pay for. I didn't. I did the work myself. The build means something. And that, you can't put a price on. So, with all that in mind, yes, i truly believe that the right buyer for my car is 1 in a million.

Understood about your reasoning for the picture. But wouldn't it make more sense to PM me, like I asked. I'd be glad to send pictures or videos to anyone interested. But for the vast majority of us that have sold things, you get far too many flakes out there, than real buyers. Not for nothing, but if I was truly interested in something, a car for that matter, I'd rather contact the seller to get more info than rely on a public post.

It all boils down to how the seller decides to sell his car. If I don't want to post a picture, so be it. Who are you to tell me otherwise? Are you selling my car on my behalf? No. So keep the comments to yourself. And people wonder why it's so hard to sell stuff nowadays. It's the people that shit post or flake on you. This is the 24th post and out of those 24, there was only 1 genuinely interested reply.

Depending on if you've went through the motions of selling things, you'll understand what I'm referring to.
Not really bc I don’t want to waste my time PM someone and end up not liking a car when I could have looked at a pic and decided then. Same like you as a seller don’t want your time wasted there are buyers that feel the same. I won’t get into the thing about what the car means to you.

As someone with a Space gray E90 6spd, I respectfully think that asking price is too high. I'm planning to do a ST on mine and even still, I'd probably try to get at least 20k for it. Given that yours has 85k and xdrive (which may or may not deter someone depending on where they live) I'd shoot for around that price.

I'm also an advocate for posting as many pictures and pertinent info as possible for potential buyers. It's less effort to post all of those things as opposed to responding to negative posts on your thread IMO.

Thanks for your input. However, the N54 engine and coupe vs sedan are valued a little more. And yes, you're right, the xdrive may deter someone, depending where they live. When you do the ST conversion, make sure you do it right. Preventative maintenance on the engine will save you headaches later on. Also, upgrade your brakes. See how much you spend on everything, then let me know if that 20k is still worth selling. Not bashing you, but if you haven't done the project, you don't know how much money the whole project actually costs, given that you do it right.

Again, I'd want to sell to someone that knows and appreciates the build on a personal level. If some kid offers me $20k, I wouldn't sell it. If some kid offers me $30k, I wouldn't sell it. The $5k difference that you're referring to doesn't add up to the buyer that I want to sell for. Like I said before, if it was all about the money, I'd post it lower and it would sell quick.

Per the pictures, see the reply above. I'll ask the same questions to you.
So far I have everything but the single turbo kit itself. Granted I do the work myself, but I'm into my car for about 10-12k.

Mods just don't add the dollar for dollar value when your trying to resell the car.

I think the price is semi fair. Mainly as I have some of the same mods. ST is 5k Stoptech BBK another 5k. The stuff adds up.

Now will you get your asking price? Who knows, I hope so. Be nice to see some pictures of the car.

That being said, you are coming off a bit...eh.
