Didn't realize the AS3s were considered that hard.
I had DWS on a 135i and that was SCARY. Really squishy and frightening on the highway. Just way too soft, so I steered away from them.

We source our BMW replacement springs from the OEM manufacturer in Germany. Same as BMW, half the price.

DWS or DWS 06? The new 06s are pretty good improvement over the older gen DWS. All of this is pretty subjective, but I owned AS3s and PSSs and was pretty surprised to find that impact harshness seemed incredibly similar. The ride was still tolerable but far an all season they test on the stiffer side and I would agree.

For my tastes I probably wouldn’t own them as a NYC tire. Everyone is different however.

I had put DWS on the 135. Smoother and softer but absolutely frightening.
On a road trip to Canada the car was far too floaty around 70, to the point I seriously considered buying another set of tires while I was away.
But that car is notorious for soft rear subframe bushings and being over sprung and underdamped. Made my wife car sick from all the rear up and down motion. Car was a low mileage, stock, 2010 in excellent shape.

Experiment with Tire pressures....I find this platform to ride harsh with to much PSI on non-run flats....I typically like 36 front 38 rear cold values as if lately...but out door temps also factor in(little less psi in warmer weather I find keeps me happy)

I keep the run flats at about 28 psi cold. Really helps smooth out the ride and suspension hysteresis.

The best option for you is to get B4 non-sport shocks and OEM non-sport springs. After that, get non-run flat tires. Then you and your wife will be happy. The B12 and Dinan rear shock mounts will not soften your suspension at all. We actually do a lot of non-sport conversion kits. If you get a complete kit, then you can sell your B6/Sport struts on this site still fully-assembled and get most of your money back.

Product code comes back to the Eibach Pro Kit. Should look the same though, black springs, B4 shocks + struts.

I'm trying to improve the ride comfort on my car too. I have a 2005 e90 330d m sport. How difficult would it be to switch to SE suspension? Would SE shocks and springs be a simple swap or would I need to do SE anti roll bars too?
