Rebuilding Ohlins Road and Track...also post pics of your e9x with ohlins!!

Does anyone have experience getting their ohlins rebuilt/serviced?
Did u go thru Ohlins themselves? A different shop, any recommendations? Also what is the pricing like on these type of services? I'm kind of a noob when it comes to these things.

Was gonna just go with a b12 kit, but these fell into my lap. Thanks for any help!

post pics of your set up!

Yes, had mine done - by the Ohlins agent who originally supplied them. They recommended a refurb every 50,000 miles. There's a pic of mine at post #31 of this thread:

How much for the rebuild? How are you liking them long term?

Installing mine in a few weeks, and would love to know as well! As far as normal "servicing" isn't it just a visual + clean?

Difficult to quote a firm price. My was done in the UK and over 18 months ago. But it was nowhere near as much as the $1000+ price quoted above.

Fitting Ohlins was the best mod I've done by a long way. They're not cheap, but you won't be disappointed.

The service is much more than a visual check and clean. Several key internal components (made of nylon, which wear) are replaced, together with the damper fluid.

Interesting. I was really turned off by the $1k quote. Maybe I should look around?

Like Dan said, the guys at PSI are the VERY best in the business.

This is not your average shock dealer, which is why most top pro race teams in the US use them. Every shock that leaves the shop gets dyno'd, and their knowledge is second to none.

No one, and I mean NO ONE in the US knows suspension like they do. Whether you're buying shocks for your daily or for a GT3 Cup car you're running in the IMSA series, they deserve your business. Pro tip: They will beat any price in my experience as well.

FINALLY got mine on after they've been sitting in the shop for 2 months! Been on them for less than a week now and LOVE THEM. I still need to get the dampening dialed in. I went with Swift 336/672 and right now I have them set to 7f/8r from full hard. The front seems to be the lowest they'll go, leaving about a one finger gap. Rears, I'll be raising as they sit just below the tire and I want a raked setup. No rubbing in the rears at all, even on bumps and dips. Front right rubs on full lock backing up as well as when hitting short dips on the freeway (there's only been one consistent spot that I now slooow down for). This is likely due to my decision to have gone with 245/40 in the front, rather than the usual 235/40 up front.

Wheel specs:
Apex ARC-8
18x9 et30, 245/40 PSS (5mm spacer to clear)
18x9.5 et35, 265/35 PSS

My Ohlins DFV got rebuild service this January because it's being installed around 6 years and front suspension has some clunking noise at low speed.
I took it to Ohlins Service Center in Taiwan directly.
https://www.facebook.com/OhlinsGaiZhuangGongChang/

They disassemble everything, cleaning, changing oil, replacing some parts...etc.
It costs 605 USD. After rebuild the suspension, the clunking noise gone. And it feel firmer and better respond then before with same click setting.
It's worthy for me.
