Midwest Walnut Blasting (Valve Cleaning)

I was wondering if anyone can do this service to my n54. I live in Cincinnati and don't want to pay 12k for the dealership to do the work!

Turn in concepts there in Cincy. I had mine done by them for about $400 bucks.

IMHO it needs to be done every 20K miles. The responsiveness alone was worth it. I did some logs before and after and used virtual dyno to see if it made a difference. The blue plot line was after I had all plugs, coils, and a couple of injectors replaced but was still having hesitation issues. The red and green lines are after the walnut shell blasting. Same tune same mods gained back 40 WTQ.

I meant $1,200 USD oops!

That dyno certainly tells the story. How did you come to knowing to replace injectors and coils? How did you know to do more than just the spark plugs?

I was having misfire and hesitation issues, I took it to the dealer and they replaced the plugs and coils at first but I was still having misfires. They then replaced 3 injectors and that solved the misfires but the hesitation was still there.

Just get it done. I've owned my car since new and I didn't realize how much that carbon robs the car of responsiveness due to it being a slow insidious process. The car is so much eager to rev and it makes it engine feel brand new again.

Yeah I have an appointment made. I don't have any misfires but I am having the intake valve walnut blasted and new sparkplugs.
