Test Drive Event ?

Has anyone attended a BMW test drive event. I got a letter from Stevens Creek BMW stating that I was invited on June 5th to test drive the new 3 series, Lexus, Audi, and Mercedes. Do they lecture or pressure you the whole time, or do they let you really drive the cars hard to compare? How Long does it last etc...???

I actually went to this event last month in torrance. When you arrive, they give you a brief lecture about the new F30, then they let you drive the cars by yourself!

You can choose to drive one of those competitors then drive the 328 or 335, or the other way around. This is a bmw corporate event and there is no salesperson seating next to you while you're test driving.

When i went, they were just being nice and let me drive all of the cars they had. I drove the IS250, C250, A4, 328, and the 335. After the test drive, they even gave me a bmw hat and a $1000 credit towards the next purchase/lease of my BMW

Definitely take advantage of this program and register yourself now!

Unlike the dealership events, this one is a corporate level. There will be no sales pressure since the people over there will be from BMW headquarter.

They give you a little map to follow (about 5 miles including straights, curves, hills, etc) Depending on how crowded they are, and how many cars you want to drive, it might take anywhere from 30 minutes to 3 hours. (I was there for about 4 hours talking, driving, and eating)

I took a test drive @ long beach bmw and the guy was an air head, he didnt know anything about the car and didn't pressure me to buy. I'm under 21 so I had to drive with someone but either way, I got no lecture no pressure and really no knowledge except drive fast but safe. I'm guessing cuz I'm under 21 he didn't expect me to buy the f30 but w/e. The overall experience was nice I was there for a brief 2 hours and about 90% was just driving around. I took it on a freeway romp and too it around back roads which was very fun - the cops lol. Just free food, free driving and just an insight of what the new f30s are doing. I only drove the 328 cuz of the twin turbo 4 cyl. Curiousity and it was pretty good and suprising but could've been faster. I say just go, its free test driving and they cover you with insurance!!!

It really is. You can read up all you want about how to please a woman, you can look at all the diagrams in the world, but just like the clitoris, you won't know what the hell an apex is before you actually find it.

How do you become eligible to do these events? Do you have to had purchased a bmw from a dealership or is there a website to register at? This sounds right up my alley.

Pretty quick and painless. No pressure at all and you get your $1000 confirmation code fairly quickly by email, that is if you don't buy a car that day and just have them apply it at that time.

I did one in Studio City for breast cancer a few years ago, and about a month ago for the Olympics team or something like that.

"Here's the keys, here's the map. If you leave the course you have no insurance. See you when you get back"

A4 was the only thing close to the 328, I didn't even get in the 335. Truly disappointed by the MB, the IS wasn't much of anything at all.
