WTB: Amplifier for 2007 328xi

My amplifier blew, no sound. Dealer says the replacement part is 65-12-9-181-743 after looking at it. A replacement amplifier worked in my car at the dealer.

Dealer was asking $1750 installed. I'm hoping to do better. I opened the trunk and found the amp but could not get the actual part number. It is a Logic 7 amplifier.

1) How do you get the part off the amp without taking the trunk apart?
2) Are there alternative part numbers than the one above? I read elsewhere here that this one may be the new part number and old ones will work as well.
3) I have seen some postings on eBay that look promising, but other places to look?

Thanks!
Greg

I have a replacement Logic 7 amp (thanks to this forum!). Do I need to disconnect the negative side of the battery when replacing the Logic 7 Amp on 328xi 2007 E90, or is it ok to just "hot swap"....obviously the car will be off but the trunk open. Are there instructions here on this or other site how to do this? Do I need to pull off all interior coverings on left side of trunk to swap out the amp? I found it but cannot get to the screws/clips that hold it in place. Thanks!
