So I've been testing the New AA tune for the E9x 335i n 135i. I must say the older tune had some issues. One in which limp mode due to breaking 250 degrees on Temp.

Last night at PBiR with the updated Version 2 Tune on 6 runs back to back (due to only 14 cars there) the car did not break over 231 degrees plus an hour n 1/2 to drive to PBiR from miami.

My friend with a current N54 with JB4 tune on his car. Drove my car to test the car's tune. His words was "it's so smooth going up on the RPMs" he was shock because we have almost the same miles on our car over 58k. He said "it feels like a new car".

Power wise WHP and WTQ has improved Dramatically. And since each car is different I can not quote a WHP n WTQ for you. Just get the new tune and dyno it before and after. I can say this NO MORE LIMP MODE, NO more overheating, and More importantly greater GAIN in smoother RPM power bands!

Call Ivan at Active AutoWerke for more details. (305) 233-9300 ext: 234

Not bad for your wheels and tires. What was your trap speed at the end of the 1/4 mile? Also, what type of gas were you on?

How would you compare the new AA tune with say the JB4 or equal tune?

I currently have the Prototype AA twin turbo system. They are made to go toe to toe with RB turbos.

We've put the AA turbos and the RB turbos on the same Mustang dyno and the same Tune. The AA system puts out more WTQ and a little higher on WHP vs. the RBs. So far I've put over 800 miles on testing. And we'll have a full review after 2,000 miles.

Note: I've been abusing these AA system more then an average driver. So our findings will be on full details.

The AA Version 2 tune is smoother and Consistent of power bands then the JB4.

JB4 is a great tune for drivers that likes seeing and personalize their car and see the actually map changes. Nothing wrong with JB4 but not my cup of tea.

Note AA tune's is a flash base so the ECU itself is controlling the tune.

JB4 is a piggy back system that has to Communicate with the ECU to Produce more power. That at times cause the car to Hesitate during WOT.

So let me get this straight, you ran a 12.6@113mph on 93 octane with this prototype AA twin turbo upgrade?

Yea. I'm a little down about it because it could have been better. But the 20x10.5 rims and bold tires didn't help at all. :-(

Do these use the stock housings like RB's? Or is it a different manifold etc?

Just wait for our Reviews on the Turbos. We have another 2,100 more miles to go for testing. So give me about 3 weeks to get all the facts together.

As of right now we wanted to give info about the New tune.

Feel free to contact Ivan at Active Autowerke. He'll be able to give more information.

Thats a good question. I am probably going the RB route. But its nice to see more turbo kits coming.

Note that with teh RBs that BMS has a backend flash to go along with the JB4piggy back. That sounds like the best of both worlds

Glad to see more options coming around before I upgrade

I havent had any problems with the JB4 communicating with the ECU and I have been tuned for about 2 years now.....So dont know where that info came from... So a 12.6 on NEW TUNE and NEW AA TURBOS....I know your wheels and tires are KILLING you in the quarter mile but with a upgraded turbo car I still think you should have been in the low 12's. I ran an 11.7 @ 117mph and was on the JB4 G4 15ohm board and RB's, using about 2.5 gallons of E85 back then...Curious to see what I can cut now since I'm running the JB4 G5 ISO using about 5.5 gallons of E85/93. Good luck and cool your new tune is working out for ya
