After not driving the car for the past few days, I decided to let the car warm up and let the computer check the engine oil level. It now says the engine oil is at max. Would there be a computer malfunction or could it be something else?

Hmm the error can occur if you're on a slope, and i have also heard that a low battery can give you this message (a few days before my battery died i had a low oil level message)

When I got my car back, it came with a surprise fix! My valve cover gasket has a leak, and BMW quoted me at 1,250 parts and labor. Just be lucky you didn't have this! I think I may just take it to an indy shop which they will fix it for about $600. Or I may just DIY after watching countless YouTube videos! RIP, Paul Walker |
