A very short review of LUX H8 V4 (and more info)

I set them at 6300k...

The inner rings are really bright and can be seen even in a sunny day.

BUT the outer rings aren't so good. When you stand close by the car,
they are not noticeable. Here are some pictures.

More things I wanna say:
Honestly, I purchased many kinds of angel eyes but none is that good as I thought.

1. WeissLicht V2, they were very poor... (not sure about the new V4)

2. Lux H8 V3, the inner rings arent as good as the V4, BUT the outter rings are quite similar...

3. AiB V4, bought them but never have time to install, they are still in the origainal package now...

4. AiB V4.5, I got them 2nd hand from a member on E90post since EAS discontinued them. And thats the problem, I m not sure why the color of inner rings and outter rings are different, very different...

5. Lux H8 V4, not that bad!!! but a bit pricey compare to what you get.

looks like v3s are the ticket. adjustability in light setting has really flogged this v4 with bad color differences. hopefully they are working on an easier to install set of v4.1 without the blue leds.

Looks like crap especially for what the charge. Clearly LED replacement is the only way to go when seeing recent results

Hi all. Please remember that the outer angel eyes are only viewable from certain angles, regardless of what light you have in there. As well also please remember that the color of these lighs is almost the same color as daylight, so there is little to no color difference between the lux and daylight. The stock bulbs are much more yellow so they have more contrast so they often times seam more visible.

When Looking at the rings look at them the same distance as a car in front if you, 20-30 feet away around eye level. No one looks at the car 2 feet away because the rings are simply not visible at the point.

With the hotspots, they are not noticible from a distance as well. Because there are blue and white LEDs they have to mix, but there is a minor 2mm distance between them that you will only see when looking at the rings up close. Once you step back the rings appear smooth and seamless

Sounds like a lot of excuses from Lux these days. . Must be something wrong with them if every thread seems to be going in the same direction.

I think it is perfectly clear to everyone already that "every thread seems to be going in the same direction" simply because a number of people here are on round-the-clock duty to make sure every thread goes in the same direction, if you know what I mean.

In reality, Lux V4s perform slightly better than Lux V3s. And they perform exactly as expected.

this.

for the price they come with these look like crap, the adjust-ability is a nice feature but it doesn't cover the fact that some of these do have horrible heat spots and that they don't light up the outer ring any better then any other cheap bulbs out there, the review pictures for the most part speak for themselves, shame.

Seems like an improvement in adjustability, the outer ring issues are fundamentally unavoidable, theres nothing on earth Lux can do to fix a poor OE design.

i appreciate reviews like this. I think a lot of people pay this high price for these bulbs and then dont want to show what they really look like. Yes at certain angels they light up both rings but based on the website pictures where every single car has all rings perfectly lit up I appreciate these reviews. I have GP thunder bulbs and the color isnt that different, what i really wanted was to ability to have all rings lit up equally (FROM ALL ANGLES!) but since they don't there is no reason for me to get them. I understand this is not Lux's fault but i do feel like a lot of the pictures that are posted about their angel eyes are in perfect lighting

I think if I set them at a lower Color temperature, like 5700k. It will look better?!
