The point I was trying to make is that if the driver knows they are going to be on a motorway drive for a decent stretch, they could request a regen, knowing that it would be successful and under Ideal conditions.

Rather than what often happens, nice long motorway drive without a regen, then just as you hit urban streets bingo!! Let's have a regen!

So the user decides, not the car.

And if you monitor the parameters with the app you know roughly when it wants one, for mine seems to be when soot mass hits about 25g
