Those are not the best, not even close. They even blatantly lie that its the same as "everyone else" when its clearly not.
I have pictures comparing both those kits that's how I know they arent the same. There dome lights arent even the same.

can you post the pics or a link?

im not looking for something that's too bright. Im more interested in something that doesnt flicker, give errors, and makes a nice improvement over stock..given the option for a dome panel with more or less led's, id take less.

Actually less doesn't necessarily mean less brightness.

With the HPB kit the 24 LED upgrade is actually a hair less bright then its 12 LED counterpart. It's only an upgrade cause of its look (and cost to make).

Just got my HPB kit today. With the optional 24 LED dome lights. So far so good.

I installed mine, and am pretty satisfied - just be careful with the map lights when installing - I broke my rear map light because the light wouldn't fit and I pressed harder (as per the instructions) and the connector on the car broke and disappeared somewhere in the roof...no biggie though, I never used that light in the 3 years I owned my previous e92 so I don't think I'll use this one either.

- 2 set of dome/map lights (w/ 18 LED panel)
- 2 vanity mirror lights
- 2 front footwell lights

I'll probably upgrade bits and pieces once I get the kit.
There are a couple of vendors with extremely bright LEDs but fitment always has to be checked. I'm getting this kit to check for sizes and if they're bright enough, I'll keep them. Kinda spendy but otherwise I'll upgrade one by one

Yes, I did. However, I have not received the kit yet, so I can't tell you if the extra $10 is worth it or not. I liked the idea of a less jenky installation (i.e., no tape), so I went for it).

The HPB has more LED's on average per bulb.

We can make a kit for 1/2 the cost, it will just have less LED. A lot of new companies are coming around with crazy prices. We can compete but the quality and brightness won't be as good as HPB's current kit which is arguably the brightest you can get out of traditional LED's.

As you notice, a lot of the competition doesn't mention how many LED's they have per bulb except ECS from what I've seen.

The only difference is the 1 kit is a standard LED panel and the upgrade is a CAD fitted module that fits flush in the housing. It's the difference between looking generic, or looking like it should be there from the factory.
