Alignment after installing coilovers?
This may be a stupid question, but do you need to go to a shop that specifically knows coilover's to have them aligned properly? Or can you just go to a Corsi tire place where they have the laser alignment machine? The shop that installed them said they usually adjust the height during alignments so they may change the height I'm at now? So I should choose a shop that knows coils. Also I was after reading that I should wait 3 weeks or so before going in for the alignment? Thanks for any responses.

I don't think a shop would need to change your height when aligning a car. o_O Any competent shop should be able to align your car and I'd wait 2 weeks for the suspension to settle.

You should go to a shop that will do a custom alignment. Not just any shop can do it - most shops will put you back to stock alignment which won't be correct

he's right. you need toe settings that will compensate for your added camber.

i'm kind of in a dilemma.
down in my home town for winter break but probably will get my coils installed over the break but have a 350+ mile drive back to my university maybe 1 day after installation should I have alignment done on the spot after installation or drive the 350 miles and do it later? |

Got ya thanks for all the advice! I heard a place in my area does a good job for a lot of other local lowered forum members. I will call them and see what they say. Its been week already I may let it go one more week before I bring it in for an alignment just to make sure the car has settled.
