E91 325D replacement Help
Hi Guys wondered if you can help.
I currently have a Jan 07 built 325d E91 Msport. The diff is whining so I am looking to replace this. Looking for a replacement off a breaker car I have found that the connections change. EG - Either the prop shaft physically screws into diff or it have a 3 bolt flange. Mine is the 3 bolt type and is so I am lead to believe a ratio of 2.35. (my serial number is KU28205) The car I have being broken is a 2008 jan built 325d with the serial number KU28491. Can anyone help me to see if this will fit my car before I hand over a ton of cash for something I cant use. Many Thanks Kev Last edited by Kev_G; 05-31-2017 at 03:36 AM.. |

Post up a photo of the label of the donor diff. Or you could get the donor VIN and decode it in etk.cc then find out the final drive ratio and see if it is the same. The rest should be fine, plug and play.
Make sure you replace every nut and bolt, and torque to spec. Many are stretch bolts or lock nuts |
