I can vouch that the JB3 PnP I had in the 135 was easy to fit and worked a treat.
Also, the American support guys were very helpful when my car went into limp mode (due to dump valves) even though I bought the JB3 from another source (second hand) so I do reccomend! Regards Matt |

MAP 3 is default and wont trigger faults or tuner detection codes. Recommended level if you dont have BT cable then... Last edited by neil@JuicedUpTuning; 08-26-2010 at 05:14 PM.. |

Maps 2 & 3, 4 & 5, 6 & 7 are the same as one another in terms boost etc. The difference is that the odd numbers include lag fix which addresses the issues with some software versions that suffered from increased turbo lag (to address the wastegate rattle issue).
The advice is not to go too high with maps as you will actually end up making less power as the ecu pulls timing. Personally, I would go with maps 2 or 3 for an otherwise stock car (12.5 psi) running 97 / 98 RON. I would step into maps 4 or 5 running 99 RON and perhaps with a high flow panel filter. IMO - You really need a BT cable if you are running a tune. I have triggered a tuner code on map 3, being able to check and delete codes if necessary will give you peace of mind in the long run. |

Boost target increase incrementally with the map number, about 1 psi per increment pair. Map 1 is a custom tune, you set your own parameters. Map 3 is the same as map2 but with with lagfix enabled. Map 5 is map 4 with lagfix and more boost than 2/3 Map 7 is map 6 with lagfix and more boost that 4/5 etc. I found a good increase using map7 above map 5 with Shell99 and no other mods. Every car is different though, so YMMV. http://www.n54tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8425 Last edited by m1bjr; 08-26-2010 at 08:10 PM.. |

I'd certainly like the BT tool but it just seems very expensive for the small bit of use it would get. Why do you say it is useful even without mods? What kind of things can you do with it?
You can get some really cheap fault code readers - eg eBay there is an ELM 327 for £13. I don't really know anything about these - why the big difference in prices? |
