ok so as everyone knows, the 2010 LCI models got nothing in the audio department. I heard there is no amp and my sound cracks when I bump it too loud. I wanted to upgrade my sound system. If I knew it was this bad I would have shelled to upgrade the audio option. I heard some members mention an Alpine upgrade but am not too familiar with what that includes. Anyway, I need your opinions on a good sound shop in the NY/NJ area that would upgrade the sound system for a reasonable price. thx

Are there any good DYIs to update the lci stock system that won't b too difficult...a shop called sound concepts in rockland county told me I would need a processor and would end up spending around 2-3Gs for a good upgrade..that's out of my budget

Do tell. I'm looking to fit a decent sub in my car since the logic7s lack in the lows department.

Pretty sure you don't need a processor for the base system in lci models.
If the signal is analog, which is usually the case with base, the just get a good 4 channel amp to run the door/rear deck speakers and a 2 channel to run the underseats...not sure if there are underseats in the base system though. If you piece together a system, I can help install. |
