Good to see the pictures, really pleased these boys are the real deal when it comes to walnut blasting. I think they will see an increase in business as a result!!

I had the decoke service performed on my car today by Will at TWG Automotive. I have to reiterate the praise that's already been posted about Will - he did a great job on what seemed a busy day in their workshop and his knowledge and manner gives me complete confidence that everything has been done properly, which is more than I can say about most of the people I've dealt with at BMW dealers!

I grabbed some 'before' photos - mine turned out to be not as bad as I'd feared, with only a light coating on cylinders 1-3, then some thicker sticky stuff on 4-6. I didn't bother with 'after' photos as I'm sure that everyone's seen clean valve stems by now!

Think we crossed posts, but it was £280, as negotiated by Greg330. I got there just after 09:00 and left at around 15:30, so the work took a good six hours.

Yep. It took 10-20 minutes per cylinder, depending on how heavy the deposits were, whereas carb cleaner and brushes would likely take several times this and not give such good results.

At what mileage is the recommended? Vines Redhill is my local and a price of £277 inc VAT sounds very nice indeed.

So it IS making a difference for people? I bought my 335 2 months ago and I've always thought the throttle was laggy and jerky. 40k on the clock. Might give these guys a call.

My 335i is coming up to 50k miles and I'm thinking of getting this done. As igatron says, are those of you who have had the blasting done actually noticed a real world difference?

My idle can be slightly lumpy occasionally but I've not really noticed any other issues.

The deposits on the cars that have been done were not too bad it seems ?

Is this really the issue people think it is ?

Nothing wrong with making sure the engine is 100% clean as can be but I wonder if it is really necessary ?
