Anyone test drove the new C Class Sport Saloon Facelift model?

I saw one the other day and thought it looked quite smart especially the interior compared to the current 3 series saloon.

Any opinions on the new facelift model?

I drove one and really liked it. It was a strong contender for my latest acquisition along with the A5 and TT TDI, I then got cold feet and moved to a more modest choice of vehicle. I drove the C250CDI with pano roof, it drove exceptionally well and was a very nice place to be, a big improvement on the previous model.

I am test driving the C250 CDI Sport Saloon this Saturday.

I test drove the Audi A5 a couple of weeks back and liked that. See how this compares. Good lease rates available on the mercedes.

The C250CDI I drove was a 7 speed auto, lovely box (so to speak!).

I test drove the C Class C250 CDI 125 Edition Sport Auto Saloon (face lift model) on Saturday.

I must say I was impressed with the drive, the interior of the car and the general customer experience at the Mercedes dealer.

The auto box is smooth and quiet. The Eco start/stop was a little weird at first but you get used to the complete silence when you stop and the engine cuts out. Mercedes have improved the level of equipment that is standard accross the range and I remember a time when you used to pay extra for everything! The test drive was not rushed and I was out for a good 50 mins with a drive on the motorway too. The salesman had a good knowledge of the range and answered any questions I fired at him.

Overall a very nice drive and I can't believe I am saying this but its a real contender as an alternative to the current BMW 3 series.
