Cleaning Wheels
I just bought a set of used wheels and they are very dirty with a lot of break dust that is hard to remove. I tried cleaning them with just soap and water but still dirty. What do you guys recommend?

Invest in some good wheel brushes (wheel woolies or Speedmaster).
Chemicals from least to most aggressive. 1. Meguiars Non-Acid Wheel & Tire Cleaner D-14301. 2. Carpro Trix or Iron X 3. SONAX Wheel Cleaner PLUS 4. Meguiars D140 Wheel Brightener

You could try tarminator on the inner wheels if you want to try something you can pick up locally.
Otherwise, Iron-X is a great choice. Let it sit for a while and you'll be surprised with what it can remove and break down. |

elbow grease/clay.
When you are done, be sure to protect them with something like Poor Boy's Wheel Wax. I prefer that one because of the watermelon-y smell |

Iron x, sonax, or any other cleaner that converts the iron/brakedust will be what you want and a really good set of brushes and elbow grease
Go to the autogeek website and pick which ever is cheapest (cause they are pretty much the same) and buy it! |
