ONR Rinseless Wash Review

So I had no idea I'd be writing a review so excuse the lack of pictures...

I live in Ohio, it's about 20 degrees right now. And if you know anything about Ohio you know we use TONS of salt during winter. Like the roads turn white from salt... not from snow.

So I've been reading about Laser and Self washes basically beating the crap out of your paint... and I can't use a hose... so I decided to give ONR Rinseless wash a shot. I was VERY skeptical. Rubbing dirt into my paint keeps me up at night.

I picked up a small bottle from Autogeek() and today, my day off, went to work in my non-heated, no drainage garage.

- I started around 12PM, went out to the garage to get my buckets and also fired up two small electric space heaters.
- Went inside to fill the buckets, then added 1oz of ONR to my bucket.
- I chose a Microfiber Sponge and some Waffle Weave Microfiber towels for this job.
- The sponge worked well, but got really dirty even with a grit guard and 2nd bucket to clean in between wipes.
- I wiped the car as per the direction in the Autogeek YouTube video and dried it via the pat dry method.
- By 1:10PM, I was finished entirely and on to cleaning my wheels and doing some stuff the car needed.

Overall I'd have to say the car turned out really well for not using any running water. I recommend doing it in a well lit area.. my garage is not well lit so I missed a spot or two that I had to take care of after I opened my garage and could see with plenty of light.

No extra swirls(F U Jet Black!), and it turned really clean. Now that I know how, it will be an easier process.

So Autogeek and ONR Rinseless Wash get an thumbs up for the day.

Best stuff on the market IMO. Been using it for over 3 years and I am still amazed and how simple it it to use. For everyone who hasn't tried it, I highly recommend getting some. DI has it on their website. I am turning into an ONR spokesman these days!

Been using ONR religiously for about 6 months. Marginal amount (only a true detailer would notice) the swirls induced because of this. <--- It might have just been washing the car for all I know and not the ONR's fault.

The other day was about high 30's..... i used warm water 2 bucket with grit guard. Lake country grout sponge and waffle weave towels to dry.

Worked out great.

I noticed that ONR changed their formula, and the smell LOL

My old bottle was almost a year old, and I got a new bottle a week or so ago.

It might be placebo but I think the new formula is even more lubey. Which is a good thing.

Big fan of ONR, been using it for about 2 years now with the usual 2 bucket with grit guards / 2 sheepskin wash mitts method. In addition, I mist the entire car with a .5 oz to 32 oz ONR dilution prior to the actual ONR wash (this loosens up any contamination). Also, after washing each section I mist said section with M135 prior to drying (adds to the slickness of the surface when drying). Now I don't take the car off-roading, but for normal washing the above process has proven swirl free (I own an E46 Carbon Black M3 and the GF owns a 2009 BSM 335i).

I prefer the smell of the old ONR formula. The new stuff is scented and smells like bubble gum, the old formula smelled..well for lack of a better term...clean . That being said, the new ONR is slicker than the old formula so I prefer it from a performance stand point.
