Well not today, but this week bought a set of Pirelli P1 Cinturato s and very happy with the new shoes. (ahh, that new tyre smell mate they literally a few weeks old tyres).
Today my K DCAN cable arrived and installed ISTA on my laptop and took it for a spin (after a few hours of swearing and configuring), but finally it works. |

Yeah, I think it is quite intuitive and easy to use, still learning though, tons of vids on YT. Great that it is a full service manual as well, with pics, torque values, etc!
I will do a NOx sensor replacement as soon as the part is here, that will be a good practice to code the new one as it is quite simple. If interested, I checked all kinds of guides on the net and finally went with this install vid: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fGpAXDaS9TI (Also who would have thought STD:OBD is not the same as STD:ODB , ouch my stupidity cost an extra half hour) |

On the street, I just run 265 Michelin PSS which have little traction but are a good street tyre. For the track, I bought a set of 265 Nankang AR-1s which have better traction but are very noisy and rough on the road. The 275 Mickey Thompson ET Streets that I use on the strip are by far the best for traction.

Ordered some Eagle F1 assymeric 5s for cheap for the front to go with the Nitto drag radials out the back.
275/35/18. For F1s and Nittos 285/35/18 on the 10.5 inch wide ET5 forgeline GA1R Reasons ; well reviewed , predicatable , 300kmh rated , good steering response, quiet, awesome in rain , not shabby in the dry (but with DRs on the back not doing circuit stuff so care factor ). Also, paid $550 for the pair delivered. Bargain 👍 |

Pulled the sump from my motor, it is ready to receive a VAC baffle.
While the sump gasket job is pretty involved, I don't think it's anywhere near as bad as a clutch job or transmission swap

Ticked off a few more items from the list that I set out my build thread a few weeks ago:
- Sump w/ baffle fitted (this took me a while, I cleaned every single bolt thread hole in the block with a tap, which got a lot of gunk out from the old gasket and original bots. Fitting a baffled sump sure is harder with the subframe hanging from the suspension, and of course, bolting it up nicely and torquing 30 odd bolts as close to spec as possible takes even more time on jackstands) - Engine mounts fitted - Subframe, power steering pump, rack and steering shaft all bolted back in

https://venoxy.com lots of different styles colours etc. Install is very straight forward. I also done the led's white for the dials only.
Pretty happy with the quality and i'd say it's my fav mod. |

Trimmed my cowl and engine covers, and gave the old girl a much needed wash.
Still needs a few small bits and pieces done during the xmas/new year break, but it drives awesome now. Upgraded engine mounts have settled in a fair bit after a 200km drive and I'm starting to like them. Throttle response and gearshifts feel awesome.
