So I went to Shenandoah this past weekend

'Twas fun, here's video:
http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...38993905508596

That was my 2nd run of the 2nd day. I dropped my time a lot for the sessions after, since I learned to gas until the inside wheel spins (had an epiphany). I like this track, it's my new favorite.

I'll make a thread for the next one I plan on going to, all of you should join me.

Hey Shim, you've been to a few HPDEs and you're still on the same set of tires, that's encouraging.

Set something up soon, will ya

cool, now ditch the instructor and your time will drop very fast

how come you wave to certain cars and not other? second, the duel toward the end was great. I noticed in that duel, your car went side way a little trying to stay ahead. That is so fun. I hate that 1 bank left turn after the straight where it was not smooth at all. That left turn where you go from asphault to concrete.

makes me think that getting those e36 Ms just for track and DD would be a nice thing to have!

That wasn't an instructor, I was in intermediate group (solo all weekend). My friend just wanted rides.

I tried to wave to most cars, but sometimes I got too caught up in my driving. I wasn't trying to only wave certain cars.

The banked turn is my favorite! It's based on the Karussell at the Ring.

Yeah, autox shreds your tires more, believe it or not. I need more camber...

Have you seen his tires lately? I saw them when I picked up my car. His right front tire looks like a racing slick.

They made it like that on purpose, it's actually very fun. I heard it's more steep than the one at the real Nurburgring.

A manly piece of driving, Shim. I hope we all get out there together sometime. I have done a number of ride alongs on the same track in a challenge. That main straight comes to an end very abruptly with that car. We had far less traffic though. You know you can go out on the Ferrari days as well if you join the club. There is a lot less traffic at those events, but you need to be VERY careful.

I love the Shenandoah circuit. I have a track prepped Honda Civic and my car kicks butt on that track. That track is all about handling and being smooth. Not a lot of areas for high powered cars to take advantage. I do have a problem on the uphill straight going under the bridge. I could definitely use some more power there.
We should all make a day of it one day.
The Audi club is going out there in the Fall.

The Lotus ELises were spanking the Ferraris all day. They corner so much better on that track and as you said, brute force only goes so far. The main straight is short and comes up fast and is only of the few places on that track that it shines over the Lotus Elise.

Looks like good times! All you need now is the footwork camera like in the JDM Top Motoring series.

My friend who has a 350z is very fast on that track, I think he would get banned from the Ferrari club events if he participated.

I would definitely like to get a ride in a Challenge though, I wouldn't even mind being passed by it, just to hear it at WOT.

And Juan, I'm working on the pedal cam. The HD version btw, is like crazy quality, any of these youtube type uploaders dumb down it a lot. Unfortunately, the uncompressed version is a few gigs.

Nice piece of driving, dude.
