Very nice car and the scooby looks good too. If you're modding it then IMO put an LSD high up on the list. I'm cat-less with an FMIC and JB4 and putting the power down properly is very difficult.

Bit off topic, but what did you think of the k-sport big brake kit?

BBK is really good once you get the temperature up which doesn't take long on my roads but unfortunately never got round to getting some proper ducting installed for cooling so they can get really hot which has a negative effect on performance. They are very good for what you pay as they are a lot cheaper than the Brembo/AP Racing kits.

LSD is the first priority for the 335i as even stock it's having trouble getting the power down right.

This. Well, perhaps squeeze the budget to include some decent non-RFT's as well, an Evolve remap or JB4 and you're good to go.

As for BBK's, there's a massive gap in cost between standard (ugly, but good enough for the road) brakes and the likes of AP Racing/Stoptech/Brembo. I'd love one of the latter but cannot justify £3.5k for the road. Can I? No, I can't...........aaargh, the voices, the voices.......

Already on non RFT's

Cannot remember exactly but the K-Sport kit (Calipers/Bells/Disks/Pads) was about £1700. I do suggest some ducting though as they get properly hot under abuse and Ferodo Race Disks and pads do start to fade after a while, plenty good enough for the road but Track days can be torture. Also upgrade to race spec brake fluid.

Your already on the supplier list mate. Looking at other DCI's as looking at pictures I don't like the way the BMS ones sit in the bay. May look into some custome pipework to get them to sit side by side instead of opposite each other.

See how the work situation goes over winter as I'll be ordering stuff and putting it aside for later as I plan on getting the work done in one hit along with the bodywork mods I'm planning.

Not sure but if the 335i uses the same brakes as the 330 (E92) but if they are shared then there are kits available from K-Sport

8 pot 400mm system = £2399 which includes -

I seem to recall the 335 calipers are different from the 330 ones, perhaps someone can confirm/deny this? Would the K Sport 330 ones fit anyway (I guess I should just ask K Sport myself)?

Forgot to add this is just for the Fronts, There are rear Kits available. For myself I'm just going to leave the brakes stock for now as they're pretty good. Even after I'll probabl just upgrade to Drilled disks and uprated pads using the stock calipers.

My advice to anyone if you want better brake feel is simply uprate your Brake fluid to 5.1 and ensure they're bled correctly. Really cheap and makes a lot off difference at the pedal.

Interesting that you mentioned overheating brakes, our cars have functional brake ducts.

Nice, not really in the market for a spoiler though. I like the clean finish on the bootlid. I may consider a CSL bootlid somewhere down the line as they look nice but for now I'm keeping the bodywork stock.
