Btw does it look like I am using the pedals in that track vid ? No, I dont use pedals and anyone with a MT backgroup will be more prone to use the actual shifter not the pedals. Thats how you can distinguish MT driver by nature behind a DCT car
My exposure is limited to driving Audi S4 and reading numerous articles on M5 . Upshifts under hard acceleration were unbelievable but at everyday speeds in the city were jerky (for lack of a better expression) and rather harsh on occasion . That can be modulated with a clutch. DCT is an amazing invention. Very refined and advanced automatic transmission.

Could just be the particular car or Audi's implementation of the software. In DD mode my wife, who was not always a happy camper in the 6MT, can't feel the shifts.

I owned a 2010 S4 MT and the shifts were as smooth as it gets.
The 3.0T and 6MT were great. The rest of the car was...blah...

I had a little run-in with pimped out S5 tonight, heh heh heehhhh... The 335i pulls on that bad boy in a major way. It was a shame for such a nice expensive Audi. Unfortunately after that I ran into a v10 M5, and things went south for me quick. That thing crawled past me just like I was doing to the S5, all the way to 200kmph, at which point the M5 made me look foolish as it blew right past me.

not completely sure though

i'd bet it's definitely faster than the v8

the 335is should prob beat the v6
a regular 335i is faster than the v8? seriously? i don't know about that
depends the 335i is lighter as in weight compared to the v8 that is a big factor

The S5 is the one Audi that I really, really like a lot. That, and the A7.

The V6 is much faster than the V8 and no a 335 cannot beat an s4/5 especially from a dig. That being said Id rather have the IS because I love the look and the RWD

I've tried to search around the internet on which one is faster on a straight line and just an overall better performance car, Im leaning towards the BMW to win in performance against this one, but idk..

what are your opinions?
If I remember correctly, the new Audi S5 has 333hp (so about 13hp more than the 335is) but only has 320 lb-ft. The 335is with its 330lb-ft and 370lb-ft overboost will likely trounce the S5 in straight line speed and likely handles better around a track (AWD vs RWD), though I haven't seen any comparisons between the 2.

The 335is is an extremely fun car to drive, especially in the curves and twists, and it's torque overboost really gets you going out of the gate. But if you want a car this is still fun but also much more practical for all weather driving, the S5 and its AWD would be a better option. My 2 cents...

The 335is posted a 0-60 of 4.5

http://www.zeroto60times.com/BMW-Bim...mph-Times.html

The new V6 S5 posted a 4.7 (granted it was manual, but Auto should only be slightly faster)

http://www.zeroto60times.com/Audi-0-60-mph-Times.html

So I think the 335is, especially with a DCT, is going to be faster.

I was referring to a 335. Sorry for the confusion. And I think the DCT 335is would be the better bet
