Long Island Directions?

I have to drive to Long Island on a Sunday in a couple weeks. I will probably be driving from 10am hoping to get to OHEKA by 1pm. The directions from the site are:

Take the George Washington Bridge to the Cross Bronx Expressway (I-95 North) to exit 6B (Throgs Neck Bridge).
Take the Throgs Neck Bridge to the Cross Island Parkway South to the Long Island Expressway (I-495) East.
Take the Long Island Expressway (I-495) East to Exit 48 (Round Swamp Road).
Turn Left onto Round Swamp Road (North) to Jericho Tpke (Rt. 25) & turn Left (West).
At the 1st Traffic Light, make a sharp Right turn into the stone-walled entrance onto West Gate Drive.

Anyone have any better suggestions? How will traffic be at that time?
Thanks.

This is the reason why you should've gotten the NAV. lol!

j.k.

Seriously, you should just invest in a Garmin Nuvi or something like that. They're only $200 or something like that.

GL!

the directions look straight forward to me. traffic should be ok since you're coming into queens instead of out.. so you should be good.

I am okay with the directions getting there; just would like to know if the roads mentioned have any problems historically, traffic or condition. What can I expect with this route or should I consider alternates.

it's all wrong

you have to go through staten island then to brooklyn belt parkway east then get off and go back belt parkway west so you can hop on the nice roads of the BQE and then go through manhattan west side hwy to the fdr drive into tri bro bridge..............

I go through queens every weekend to see the girl and those directions are pretty much spot on. There may be traffic on the GWB as well as the cross bronx so be sure to make extra time for travel (weekends are the worse during the afternoon and night time... yankee games don't help either). There are other ways to go around the traffic, but those routes are inefficient. It's best to go through the traffic since it'll be the quickest.

Ugh, just checked. The Yankees are at the Mets for a 1:10 pm game that day.

i think by the time he gets to the throgs neck, he should be ok. there's always some sort of trafficon the GWB and cross bronx. just make sure you take the car-only deck over the GWB. even though the truck deck is called express, you'll hit more traffic there.

but if ur coming from jersey.... its so much better to take turnpike exit 13 or exit 10 to go thru staten island instead of hitting the city traffic.
