This tuning is sounding awsome shiv. Great work so far.
Am I correct in saying that the "Exhaust system" you have developed does not include the downpipes?
Also, have you had any traction issues?
Please keep us updated with any news and/or problems you encounter!

1/4 mile?

Any chance you would share a 1/4 mile time with us?
I'm sure I'm not the only one whos dying to have an idea what all these mods are doing for its performance. I'm not really hip on reading Dyno's and things like that, but I would understand a time... I just got rid of a 12.7 sec vette and I'm curious if im gonna be able to hold a candle to that time with my new 335i... I know thats not crazy fast or anything, but I know what it feels like and its something for me to compare to..

THANKS!!!!

I know what you're saying, I asked the same thing here yesterday in this thread:

Do you have any plans for track time in your car? Videos of you having fun on the street will be very cool but I have always felt there is no better measure of power than a quarter mile trap speed. I am not so interested in ET since as your team already stated, hooking up with so much power and no LSD is tough, but a high trap would put some real meaningful objective data to go along with those beautiful Dyno graphs

The dynos look totally awesome but some cold hard timeslips would really tell the tale. I'm sure you could get someone stock to go out the same night so it would be a cool comparison. Like I said above, I don't care so much about ET but seeing the tuned car posting much higher trap speeds (which I am sure it will) than a stock 335 would sell me immediately.

I would say with a good tire and decent traction off of the line, you should be at atleast a 12.7. With good driving this car could see low 12's (maybe better, but there are too many factors here to get too optimistic). The gearing, however, is superb for straight-line acceleration. I_simply_cannot wait for my 335.

Hey guys,
It's funny. I've been doing this tuning gig for over 10 years. Probably tuned a few thousand cars during that time, all over the US. However, I think I've been to the drag strip 3 times in my whole life. All the ET numbers our shop/test cars have made have been in the hands of customers and/or magazine testers. I suspect this car will be no different. I'm sure you'll all get your numbers... but probably not from me.

Because the car was tested on 91oct and 11psi seems to be the safe limit as far as consistency and margin for safety against knock goes. At least with the current set of mods (basically a cat-back). While the boost can be turned up while running this gas, we'd also have to richen up the fueling and retard excessive amounts of timing to keep things knock-free. The end result would be a car that makes the same power, runs hotter and with less consistency.

Can't say for sure until we source all the connectors and price out the manufacturing of the harness. We're also going to have a few more bells and whistles with this application (fancy map switching switch, remote display, etc,.) So the final price? Beats me. At this point, we just have the basic kit working, in prototype form. Still have a bit more work to do before we have something in sellable form.
