I know itīs a bit late now you have started fabrication, but wouldenīt it be beneficial to make a onepice longer charge pipe running all the way from the fmic to the throttlebody in the same diameter?

Could you give us a hint on finnan pricing?

I think he did mention about upper intercooler piping replacement with this new meth kit in other thread.

I know I been following the the other thread on the new kit with interest as well, I was just thinking now that the chargepipe goes up to 3.25 inc from 2.5 wouldīnt it be an advantage to extend it all the way to the Ic and make it in one piece

Shiv,

I am currently making a custom intake (Mr.5 variation). Any pictures of real-estate still available for pipe/hose routing near the driver's side headlight would be helpful.

to be honest with you I think it looks like shit. I like were the meth things are located but that's about it. why not make the connection to the throttle body like OEM with that clip? and that rubber flexing tube thing why not make that out of aluminum or whatever metal is used and then you can use the rubber coupling thing you are currently using to connect it to the throttle body and use it to connect to the intercooler tubing that why it bolts on like OEM

Boost switch and bungs are nice but the size is overkill and I'm not sure it will be beneficial to the meth atomization. Might be counterproductive.

Not exactly rocket science but we settled on a big 3.25 inch aluminum thick walled tubing from the elbow all the way to the throttle body which is of the same diameter. This is to reduce the velocity of the air charge which gives more time for the methanol to atomize. We also went for the most gradual bend as possible, utilizing as much the available real-estate as possible. Under the charge pipe (not shown) is a bug for the Meth pump pressure switch. On the top are two jet adapters for the Aquamist jets. Our fabricator will be making 30 more this week. Including versions for the N55 which is identical minus the bypass valve flanges.

Show top to bottom:
-Stock charge pipe with meth elbow
-My old Riss Racing charge pipe (with some ahem... modifications)
-Prototype Vishnu Large-and-in-Chargepipe with methanol mods

Also in the process of getting the methanol kit brackets manufactured. Here is the bracket which olds the pump to the frame rail:

Should have final production pics of the Meth kit + Charge pipe later this week.

Cheers
shiv

No. I love the flexibility of the joints so that you can adjust things and play with it as needed.

2 pipes joined together would be fine... but I'm saying no to a one piece
