Comfortable business/casual shoe suggestions

Hey folks,

Im looking to pick the brain of some shoe savvy posters in this thread. My business requires me to meet with different clients in different locations and I'm on my feet the majority of the time. I'm looking for suggestions on shoes that can be described as business/ casual and are extremely comfortable. For example, I was looking at the brand called Toms, but would like other alternatives/ suggestions. I would really prefer a slip-on type shoe.

If I have multiple funerals in a day or viewings I usually wear rockports. I go through shoes so often that I dont feel like dropping big $ on shoes every 3-4 months. for the price they are really comfortable

One word - Ferragamo. Comfy, look better than most other options and last forever if you have a good cobbler.

Never had Ferragamo, but have heard good things.

But Rockport has been my favorite and most comfortable. Not too bad on price too.

Also, Cole Haan makes a great shoe too. And some of their dress shoes have Nike Air in them. I have only owned them in a casual (bowling) shoe.

If they're not from the Tramezza line don't bother. The Ferragamo Lavarazione Origionale and Studio lines aren't worth the price. The Tramezza line is generally very, very good however.

If you're not looking to spend $600 on shoes however, go for a pair of Allen Edmonds instead as they're very good quality.

I got a pair of Cole Haans... Nice shoes indeed. I have the one with the air cushion. Though the Nike running shoes I have used in the past seem to blow out the air cushion in 3 months. Hope history does not repeat itself with this pair.

Most comfortable shoes ever. I got them a lot cheaper too. I think around $100 on sale

cole haans, ecco, clarks, josef seibel, hush puppies, merrells are all casual/ dress shoes that will comfortable. But if you need something more dressy, stuff like to boot, ferragamo, hugo boss, magnanni, burno magli, allen edmonds are dress shoes that are very comfortable.

Best thing to do would be to go into a shoe store and try them on... Every foot is different

best work shoe, takes a great beating. doesnt need as much polishing/care as other shoes. Ecco's are so durable, clean looking, and very supportive. Ive been wearing Ecco's for 9 years now strong, my feet love them lol. They have great casual shoes as well, light slip ons that still have the supportive base. they recently re-did their soles to give more padding and the shoes breathe even better now. My feet never smell, are never sore, and have no callous on them - and I give the credit to my Eccos.

cant go wrong, excellent quality, at a great price. buy 2 pairs, one formal and one semi casual so you can swap em out.

Nordstrom got the hook ups on pricing. for the elegant shoes, go for bruno magli and ferragamo. But I wear my Ecco's every day of life.... literally for 9 years. Ive bought at least 15 different pairs by now lol
