I like outside input for everything.. then your not sitting around wondering what people are thinking.... they can tell you... and as in they i mean you and as in you i mean you all... and as in you all i dont mean you people... because that would just be racist....

6000 kelvins would be my preferred for the light blue hue without disrupting light output too much

I run 3000k and they are yellow but functional. A fog lights purpose should be functional IMHO since it helps in rain/snow. Now if you live in an area that rarely see's rain/snow than by all means go for show (>4300k)

From our FAQ Section:
What color temperature is best for HIDs? For the most light output, 4000k-4500k will be the most optimal however it will give off a yellowish color. 6000k will be a pure white with a little bit of a purple hue and will sacrifice a bit of light output but is the generally recommended color temperature for the best color. 8000k is the highest color temperature we recommend as anything higher will dramatically reduce light output in exchange for color. 8000k will be a pure aqua color temperature. Translation: Anything over 8000K is too dim. Even 8000K is pretty dim. Stick to 6000K IMHO. Why, you ask? Our eyes are evolved (yes, evolution, sorry) to see the sun's rays - which are between 4000K and 4300K. So, when something is illuminated that color, we can see it that wavelength of light. However, ever notice how when something is lit red or blue (far away from the spectrum we naturally see), you can't really make it out? Think of it as you would infrared light. Yeah, there may be a TON of light pouring out - but you cannot see any of it. Same with 20,000K HIDs. There may be a lot of light output - but we can't see it. |

Had 6000K D1S Ultinon on the car for almost a year, thinking of switching back to stock color.
