~ ///M Teaser time ~

Hey guys, finished installing Cyba's 1x1 CF grilles and GP Thunders.

The CF grilles were a piece of cake, took about 5 minutes and they are perfect fitment.

The GP Thunders on the other hand were a bitch! My hands are very large and it took me about 30 minutes in total...10 for the driver side and about 20 for the passenger side. This is one mod i never want to do again. My knuckles are all scraped up and red, talk about sweat and blood lol.

Here are some pics, these are only a teaser. Ill do a real photoshoot this afternoon and post up more by tonight.

Enjoy!

p.s. Please excuse the poor landscaping and whatnot, my dad just finished building our house this winter and we are waiting till warm weather to put up grass/trees and whatever.

Thats all for now...

lol thanks~

Having only driven luxury sedans most of my life it is hard to adjust to the stiff suspension. Its weird feeling every bump you go over, i didnt think that was normal at first but i was told this is how the M is suppose to feel like, and that the E46 was much worse.

The engine noise is not loud under 4K rpms, very held back but once u get past that it really opens up and screams.

The steering is very light, even lighter than the 525i. But its very easy to drive.

The M takes corners like a champ, i dont feel any body roll at all and taking a tight turn at 30mph is cake.

Throttle response is decent, but once you put on power mode you feel a significant difference in response, I still have not tried sport plus yet.

Brakes squeal since they are not bedded in yet but it does have great stopping power.

The tranny is very smooth, in D mode you cant even feel the shifts, S mode is quite fun with the paddle shifters although i wish they were positioned different...

Thats all that i can think of for now from my initial 15 min drive last night. Ill take her out later for a spin.

Mind if I ask if you paid MSRP or over? My parents just signed for a 08 750Li with Fred and he said he had a M3 sedan in the showroom unaccounted for (!).

Beautiful car, congrats.

As for it being a rough ride, you should take a ride in my E36 M3.

From my experiences, every generation of M3 has actually gotten softer and more comfortable to drive.

Not that its a bad thing, the E92 M3 is incredible, one of the best sounding cars ive ever had the pleasure of test driving.

Call me weird but I honestly like the look of the 18s much better. And yes I do plan on going aftermarket sometime in the future. But im in no rush to replace these just yet.

Congrats Dave! You've waited a long time for your new baby, now go out and enjoy it. It's not going to rain for a couple of days too.

Btw, I'm more impressed with your house, than you car! I wish I could afford a house like that!

Have fun and I'll see you soon.

Thanks Scott, 1 year is one helluva wait. But I wouldn't be able to have her without the support from my family. Im not ashamed to say I live at home but I did pay for the car myself and will be making those monthly payments lol.
