I would recommend doing a muffler delete for a 328 due to the PE being in the 700 range used... you will save hundreds of dollars and get somewhat same sound and gains( barely any).

Oh gotcha... to be honest I don't know enough to tell you a straight answer. I would diffidently go the bmw performance exhaust in your case! that's your best bet for sure. You can get a good price new from the bmw dealership of silver springs, MD formerly known as tisher.

I would still go with a muffler delete. I done that to a 328 I owned in the past....have the muffler shop cut the muffler where it can easily be welded back into place. It is a easy job to do this. I done this and no problem. That is one thing I miss from my 328 after I stepped up to a 335 was a cheap muffler alternative to a perfomance exhaust. A 335 muffler delete has serious noise, drone issues. When I returned the car, I had no issues when I re-welded the original muffler in place. Save yourself some bucks!!

I done mine after putting on 2k miles.....had the car in for maintanance during the whole warrenty period with 4 different dealerships....no problems. See your Service advisor...the manager and get his input on the voided warranty. I never had problems...if you had a 335 and doing downpipe mods..then it is a different story as you could be deleting out some cats. You are not modifying the cat systems at all.

Just for piece of mind in your case...do the BMW performance exhaust. It is your car...if it were mine, I know what I would do. You can ask at another dealership....or the service dept. I only know that Ca. is more stringent on the emissions laws there, and the service dept. might harass you about the changes. Muffler delete is a common mod (if you want to call it a mod) for most of us. Good luck.
