De Anza College? Is it even accredited?

Funny how parents buy their children mad toys I guess as a celebration of gaining entrance to 2 yr. schools.

Almost. Beemers are BMW motorcycles. Not sure about "Beamers"; perhaps they are BMW owners.

While I was a college professor, both my Beemers and Bimmers were parked on campus with no issues.

in the UK most uni students can't afford even a relatively low cost car! and car insurance for an average 19yr old with a car worth $1000 is probably $3000-4000+ per year

I know im going to catch a lot of heat for this but my parents paid for it. They pay for my insurance too.

at least your honest! your parents must be fairly wealthy to afford to buy you bmw, what cars have they got haha?!

I managed to buy my first bmw weeks before leaving uni and all my class mates envied me!

Out of interest what are the annual fees for university in the states? is there a standard rate per year, or does it vary greatly? Uni in the UK has become a LOT more expensive over the past few years!

They're not rich but they make pretty good money. I honestly wanted a 1999 Eclipse GSX. it's my father who forced me to get a newer car because he told me that older cars have a lot of problems and that the car would be at the shop every week.

I live in Canada and residence costs about 8-10 grand a year (depending on how much your tuition costs) , you're also forced to buy a 3 grand meal plan.
If you take into account everything you're going to purchase you're while you're at uni you're looking at around 15-20 grand a year.

Lol I posted in another thread about how my car has been screwed so hard since I've come to one of the biggest party schools in the nation. Actually the biggest campus besides the Air Force on top of that.
Nothing has been permanent, but all I can say is don't DD your car.

Oh and garage parking doesn't avoid everything, for some reason people feel the need to park a foot away from my door or take a leak on the fender while I'm not around.

Still wouldn't skip bringing the car
Have fun, it's just a car

Yeah, I do. I haven't seen a lambo let alone a couple but I've seen a DB9, Porsche and other cars more valuable than mine but it's nothing to get wet over, ya know? If anything there's an abundance of show-y cars and some ricey ones that revs and set off car alarms in the parking complex but again, I'm just one of the thousands of students that just go there for school.

You have supporting and rewarding parents? That's terrible.
I hate it when parents buy their punks reasonably priced used bmws and think that their kids will get anywhere in life if they focus on education instead of flipping burgers to pay for car insurance and gas while in college.

I'm not knocking anybody who has a Lambo or their parents that can afford a Lambo, but kids that drive them to college purely do it to show off and attract attention. Lambos are for serious driving not for showing off in a college parking lot. Give me a Lambo for a day and the last place u'll find me is in a college parking lot.

When I was in college I had two Bimmers (E46 and E90). Definitely not the odd man out. So many Bimmers and Audis around campus. Remember, rich people definitely send their kids to college.
