HELP!!

Hey guys,
Have yet to pull codes, but I thought someone might be able to help!
Just recently installed JB4 G5 ISO running map5 with 45% e85 55% 91 octane. FlexFuel Wires of course. Started having this problem, When Im in a high gear at a lower speed, ie: 6th gear 45-50 mph and I give it WOT, the car will boost and pull hard, but then pop and go into Limp-home mode. Tons of codes and lights. And when I pull over and restart the car, JB4 clears the codes and Im good to go again.
I know the first thing is to check the codes, but if you guys have any ideas, Please let me know! Thanks!!

Just as an FYI you really shouldn't be doing WOT runs at low RPM in high gears in turbocharged cars (e.g. what OP stated originally; 45-50mph in 6th gear). This builds up too much boost/load/temperatures and is just not good for the components. See here: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=858228

I'd say if you have the reported issues at WOT in any gear, you have a legitimate issue but if it's just WOT for the described conditions, then no.

I think you should check to see if your charge pipe is still in tact. Check for cracks, if it's loose, or if you have an aftermarket one, check to see its still on tight. If that doesn't help, then you need to turn off auto clear and collect the codes. Also if possible, do a log and send it in to terry.

Looks like to be an emission related DME code.
I looked it up and found other posts where 335/135 owners had the same issue with the same kit as you. Could be a coincidence..?..
Its hard with out being able to see your cars live operating data

I'm sorry but what you're saying makes no sense. I have a '12 e92 335i xDrive 6AT with PPK, JB4, ER CP which i just put on last weekend and i got the SAME 36C9 error code the OP got when i went WOT in map 5. If what you say is correct, then why wouldn't the car be adversely affected when going WOT on a stock N54/55 engine. I've had an 07' e90 335xi, 08' e92 335xi and 11' e92 335xi, none of which were ever modded and anytime i ever went WOT in 6th gear from say 2k RPM, i never had an issue and i had done that MULTIPLE times in all three cars. My '12 is the only one i ever modded and i have gone WOT numerous times with just the PPK on prior to getting the CP and JB4 put on and never went into limp mode when punching it in high gear and low RPM (1500-2500 RPM). Now if you meant to say that you shouldn't go WOT on tuned turbocharged cars, then it makes sense.

It makes perfect sense. Going WOT in 6th when going only 45mph builds too much load, hence the limp mode. It's happened to me as well. Just downshift and it likely will not happen again. Whether it's tuned or not, you still shouldn't do it - that's just improper operation. Just because it doesn't go into limp mode, does not mean that it's not putting unnecessary stress on the motor.

You also may be running too much ethanol. 45% is quite a bit to start with. The DME needs to learn and creep up on that. I normally suggest going E30 and working up 1/2 gallon from there. My car would do this when I went with too much ethanol too, that is how I learned it doesn't like anything over E40 and even that I can't throw in the first tank after running 93.
