Tried out some vinyl wrap. Not my cup of tea but does look utilitarian.

Haven't touched this for 1/2 a year ... took it out for a spin up into the hills.

Need to get out and take a few location shots.

What software do you use Dave?

A mate runs a 3D visualisation company. Most of the stuff is for superyachts - gets a similarish kind of effect. He uses Solidworks and some other package combined.

Your images are brilliant BTW.

3D Studio Max

Excellent work BTW Dave, that's a fair few hours work to get such photo-realistic renders

Solidworks is a CAD program, great for mathematically defining actual surfaces for prototyping and manufacturing. Not so much for visualisation and rendering (though you get good plug-ins that allow expoerting, or rendering).

I use 3ds Max. Which is mostly a polygon package, with great rendering and animation capability.

I have actually been working on something new since November, for fun. I'll post it soon. Hopefully have a few hours over the Christmas Break to work on it.

Dave - my apologies! Solidworks is definitely used at some stage then possibly something called Lightwave (or similar)?!

This is the kind of image:

Yep that'd be right, the main production parts will be exported from Solidworks into Lightwave for texturing, rendering and animating, and the more organic parts will most likely be modelled in Lightwave itself.

Just for fun grabbed the E92 and found an old airstrip.

Also created a Focus RS. Now used for the Burton Power Brochure along with one of my MK1 Escorts.

How can you have two vehicles with the same number plate even when they look the same? DVLA's gonna be all over you.

Floyd! Are you waiting for some dumb ass to jump in here either thinking you don't know the difference between real and photo-shopped cars, or someone who doesn't realise they are?

Besides, everyone knows that the colour of the nearest one has been photo-shopped to match the one in back of picture and the numberplate is, of course, fake! (on the second one) .................
