Mod Compbination - HP Increase

So assuming I'm bone stock (engine wise) - how much total Hp would I have if I upgraded my intercooler, exhaust (midpipes to exhaust only, NO downpipes)?

no ecu upgrades. Any approximations?

not much...but your car would be pretty happy im' sure!

teh fmic really isnt gaining you much power, its just letting you keep your HP at max during hot weather and back to back runs.

the tunes are what really pulls the large amounts of HP out of the mods.

oh, and paying for those mods and not spending the $$ on a tune makes no sense.

you are already modding to the point where a dealer could throw your warranty out the window if they wanted to.

You should really consider an ECU tune. It is what ties those modifications together and allows your car to take advantage of the improved air flow. In fact, I venture to say the ECU tuning is the most important mod for the N54 in terms of power output.

without ecu tune, no real noticeable gains at all.. downpipes would be a better mod over exhaust alone, good gains can be had in combination with the stock exhaust.

I agree that the gains may be minimal, but I'm CPO'ing my ride in November and I'll surely ECu tune it at that point. I figure a great combo might be:

- Intercooler
- LSD
- Exhaust
- ECU Tune (GIAC maybe?)
