JB3 vs JB4

i tried to do a search but couldnt really find a definitive answer....

besides the obvious technical differences between the JB3 and JB4....are there any differences powerwise between the default performance maps between jb3 and jb4? ive been running map 2 on the JB3 and am going to upgrade to JB4 and probably run map 1. should i expect a differences in power?

Yes! Big difference in power. Map 1 on the JB4 will be similar to map 5 on the JB3.
You'll love the upgrade.

Not toe till the JB4 is still fully supported by BMS where in the JB3 is not anymore.

Enjoy!

If you're going to upgrade then go the G5 ISO route. T no longer offers firmware updates for the G4 board because ISO is the new best thing. ISO means that the boost is isolated and is no longer controlled by the DME like your current JB3 board. You'll notice an increase in smoothness along with power but in order to take full advantage of the G5 ISO board you'll need to run E-85. Map 5 on the G5 ISO board is specifically designed to auto tune according to mods and of course octane.

A list of what each map contains can be found here:

The JB4 is more then capable of making the same power and the boost control, ignition control and fuel control is far superior to the JB3.

The JB3 is outdated. You should really invest in an upgrade for the sake of power, safety, and drivability in your car.

Yeah I'll be ordering it tomorrow. If I buy direct from burgertuning, it will have the newest board already right?

DO it! I was a jb3 owner for awhile too, technically they provide a similar amount of power but JB4 is just alot better. Im pretty sure all JB4s are coming with the latest G5 Board.
