Well the check engine light came on with reduced power. FYI, my wife doesn't even drive aggressively. It now has 620 miles and may just get lemoned. Car will be at the dealership first thing in the morning.

The A4 are drinking oil about 2k-5k ,you have to add a quart or half a quart, been looking at A4 for my wife, and it does have a problem as well, I still haven't count the faulty fuel indicator on that A4 yet. Might just go to Lexus/Acura for cheaper price and more reliable hope it doesn't have to be like that, since I love the A4 front view. |

You guys really need to start hiring lawyers. I did just that and got a SWEET junk of change back from bmw. I am not talking a couple hundred bucks here either. More like well over a year worth of payments

I just got mine back from the reprogramming for HPFP and it has just started acting very strange on cold start ups. It cranks up but the idle is very erratic to the point it sounds like it is going to stall, then smooths out after a minute or two. I just put my DP's and procede back in and I'm not looking forward to taking them off again in 100 deg weather to take it back to the dealer again.

Replaced HPFP today, but they put 31 miles on the car and left the car on empty. Is that usual to put that many miles on it?

My Audi has constantly failing electronic DVs...although I still love it as my daily driver!

March 2006 Audi began recalling their A4's and A6's for Fuel Pump failures... I think they had these issues in 2003 as well and the S8 was also affected...

IF you take care of it, aka change the damn thing which barely costs 50$ and a half an hour to change, you are trouble free on a 2.0T. The new revised DVs work fine and don't have as many problems, but with the price Forge sells their DVs it's stupid to not go after market, especially knowing that chipping the 2.0T is a MUST. Other than that, theres nothing else MAJOR on that engine. BMW has fuel pumps that die after 500 miles, wtf... The Cam Follower takes a lot more miles than that to brake down, and not all of them do, and not in such a big quantity as the 335s. The only product I was really ashamed of Audi for was the RS4s FSI V8 that has carbon build up. |

This would be the first I've heard of a HPFP problem with the N55. Mine is running strong near 4,000 miles in a 135i. I also know of another with 8,000 with no problems. Any other info on your car? What gas your wife uses? How it's driven? What did the dealership say exactly?
