Atlanta area pricing

My trustworthy '00 328i made some ghastly noises last night. This morning I found oil on the garage floor, and a rough idle. I'm not feeling too good about this.

I have been monitoring the 'deals' on the 335i sedan. Is invoice realistic? I was hoping to have 5-6 more months saved but given that I have 90k on the current sled I think I'm on borrowed time. 0.9% may be too good to turn down.

I priced an AW/beige, sports, prem, comfort access, fold down seats, navi, 6sp, iphone connect, for +/- 45k invoice. Given this economic environment, is invoice possible?

Atlanta has plenty of dealers - any locals have good/bad experiences? I previously went to Chris (now Nalley).

Any input would be appreciated.

Not up here in PA, at least that I could find. $500 over invoice was best I could do.

Yep, can probably do that up here, too. I strongly considered it, but couldn't find one in the colors or equipment I wanted. Lots of basic cars left on the lots.

wahoo: I paid a visit to AtlantaBMW a couple of months ago and spoke with David Huggins for a while. I have not purchased the car (plan on doing so around February) but he seemed to be nice and polite.

I can't give you concrete feedback since I haven't bought yet, but I've dealt with a fair share of car salesmen and my 5th and half sense tells me David is going to be a good person to work with.

His email:
david.huggins[at]atlantabmw.com

Good luck, keep me posted on your choice since there's a good chance my old man and myself will be picking up two new BMWs within February (335i Coupe or 135i for me, 5-series or M3 for him).

Regards,

-Walter

I've worked with Zak Reitsfeld(sp?) at Global BMW (he's now involved via internet sales) and Jim Tomkins @ United BMW Roswell. Both were easy to deal with.
As for specials I have no idea. BMW has been raising prices and as you know the cars on dealer lots are usually loaded to the gills with options. IMO..the best deal can be found on those cars which where a buyer special ordered and back out or on those cars where the factory just screwed up on an order.
